The only 'danger' I'm currently having to address is daily spam bots commenting malicious links. A problem that is getting increasingly worse and impacting many Itch project page comment sections.

I've played a lot of visual novels, and I must say the scene writing and ambiance for Northern Lights is unmatched. I don't cry while reading easily, and i was crying before the end of the first chapter. Truly a beautiful VN
Its not often I find the way I view my life changed massively by something; I've read a fair number of longer emotional stories because they tend to be my favorite, I love stories that stick in my brain for years after in decent clarity because they changed my outlook on something. Most stories like this I've read have never truely ended in me changing myself as a result, and I intend to make this the first of hopefully many. I'm not sure if its my new meds, or my mental state being stripped bare this last week, or a growing fear of rejection, or the roughly 3 mental breakdowns I've had today, but what I have read of this story so far (just finished reading the section where the MC gets a care package from their friends) and I have not found myself crying so heavily at any media for an unknown amount of time. And I'm hoping that I'll stop lying about who and what I am to the people I love the most out of fear that they won't like me for it. I can handle a lost friend or two if it means I'm comfortable in my own skin. Thank you for this game so far, I hope that I can create something that impacts another person as much as this has me.
Edit: I've spent so long searching for a place where I can truly be me that I haven't stopped to ask I had already found it. This story has answered the question I forgot to ask.

I'll admit there's a few little things in the story that kinda feels a little too modern for the 1980s. Not that that's a bad thing mind you, they don't detract from anything.

I’M CRYING, I CANNOTTT-, I just finished reading Chapter Five, and I’m at loss of words. This is the second novel that has ever made me cry and feel like this. It was so beautiful. I truly don’t have the words for it, everything was incredible. I loved every piece of art, music and every second of the story. I sincerely hope this novel continues to receive the attention and love it deserves, and that it gets a good ending. I swear, the energy and need to scream I feel rn could fuel a rocket. Gonna get some cute stickers of them just for always remember the nice experience this VN gave me, and remember to read any upcoming updates.

Just wrapped up Chapter 5, and wow—what an amazing ride. The emotional depth and everything else were off the charts. Totally worth the wait, and now I’m dying for the next chapter. This is hands down one of the best furry VNs I’ve played.
This poignantly captures some of my own memories at Cody's age, though in a different time than the mid-80s. First piercing, first crop-top, the new and electric touch of another... The writing is very evocative in its execution of these and other such small yet important details, and I appreciate that. This VN is certainly in my top 5 favourites, and I love the direction that it is heading in.

Whenever you scroll back to see a text you may of skipped by accident or maybe didnt understand all the music immdiately stops. Its really annoying because you have to go back all the way to the start of the scene where musi was originally playing. Its kinda sad to see the people that made the music just for it to be completly ignored by scrolling back by accident Edit: So turns out this only seems to happens with certain soundtracks and idk why

It could be because many are dogs and dogs can't get AIDS. Idk. But that's a nice idea.

Unrelated but human genitalia toggle when /hj+1 on the genitalia toggle, the animal ones are very off putting.
